Auditorium Theatre

The Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University is one the historic and grand theaters of Chicago.  Originally designed by Louis Sullivan and David Adler, the theater structure itself is historically significant and has gone through an extensive restoration over the past several years.  The Auditorium Theatre is the home of the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago and hosts many international touring ballet and dance companies, music productions and major Broadway shows.

We have been working the Auditorium Theatre since the late 1990s.  We built their second generation site in way back 1997 introducing real design and functionality improvements over their initial web presence.  In 2005, the third generation site was designed and developed which, once again, represented a huge step forward in design and functionality.  An extensive content audit was performed resulting in a re-organization of existing content and the introduction of significant new content.  An open-source content management system was integrated into their shared hosting account allowing them to move content maintenance in-house as a significant cost savings.

Several microsites have been created for the theater including a site highlighting the architectural history of the theatre and a site for a recent major production called the Margaret Garner Opera.
